Oil Exploration Booms
Oil exploration in the Sultanate
of Oman has shifted into high
gear, following the recent
signing of exploration and
production sharing agreements
with a large number of
international oil & gas firms.
The entire Sultanate is now
subject to some form of
exploration activity, apart from
two remaining blocks.
Extensive efforts to boost oil
production are also underway,
with the implementation of
various enhanced oil recovery (EOR)
techniques in many mature fields
including Mukhaizna and Harweel.
To enable it to focus on its
portfolio of large fields, which
account for over 80% of Oman's
total oil production, Petroleum
Development Oman (PDO) has
recently signed agreements with
other companies for the
development of its clusters of
small fields.
All these developments are
fuelling substantial demand for
the entire range of oilfield
supplies and services, making
OGWA 2010 an ideal venue to
showcase what your company can
offer to the Sultanate's oil &
gas industry.
