OGWA 2012:
Highlighting the rapid growth of
Oman’s Oil & Gas Industry
After marking over 40 years of oil exports to other countries, the
Sultanate of Oman is making huge investments and working closely with
international oil & gas firms to enhance its total production
output from 710,000 bpd in 2007 to as much as 900,000 bpd by 2011.
Oman’s natural gas production, which has been growing steadily over the
years, is likewise expected to further increase as major gas fields
come on stream within the next five years.
The Oil & Gas West Asia (OGWA) 2012 Exhibition and Conference
will be a platform for showcasing the operations of the oil &
gas industry in Oman as well as a forum for discussing the latest
developments and future directions of the industry. Held under the
patronage of the Ministry of Oil & Gas since 1998, the
three-day biennial event is now on its seventh edition and has built a
reputation as one of the established oil & gas shows in the
Middle East region.
As before, OGWA 2012 will once again feature all leading companies that
play a key role in the continued development of the region’s oil
& gas industry. With the participation of national oil
& gas companies in the GCC and international oil & gas
firms, the event will truly be a major gathering of industry
professionals from within Oman and from other parts of the world.
